G'day OzSpurs NFG League. This is your weekly FPL update.
The winner for gameweek 9 was 'Spuraholics' [Terry Desbois] with 76 points! Rounding up the top 3 for the week was 'Audere Est De Zerbi' [Stephen Sizer] (73 pts) and 'Puddles36' [Alan Haynes] (71 pts).
'Sweaty XI' [callum Mees] stayed at the top of the table with 614 points, although 'A cat called Clive' [Mark Lawson] is creeping closer 19 points behind. At the other end 'Gruts n' Gravy' [Carlin Budd] continues to languish in last place with a miserable 336 points.
The worst ranking teams this week were 'SaraBot' [Sara Pieterse] (26 pts), 'The Legend Of Porro' [Ryan Shave] (26 pts), and 'RDZBall' [Zak Payne] (25 pts). Hang your heads in shame.
When it came to captaincy choices 'Puddles36' [Alan Haynes] and 'Graham's 2nd Team' [Graham Tate] did the best this week with 27 points from Nicolas Jackson and Igor Thiago Nascimento Rodrigues. On the other end of the spectrum was 'JC Milan' [Jason Collier] and 'Tasmans Archie' [Jevon Hall] who had picked Nico O'Reilly and Rayan Cherki for a total of 2 points. You receive the armband of shame for this week.
Moving onto substitutions 'Gruts n' Gravy' [Carlin Budd] will be kicking themselves after having left an astonishing 26 points on the bench which was the highest in the league.
This week 'Tonalitis' [Andy Philpott] did the best with automatic substitutions receiving a spectacular 24 points from Van Hecke and Thiago coming off the bench in lieu of Guéhi and Lacroix. 'Stuart's Team' [Stuart Peaston] was not as fortunate getting a pitiful -2 points from Milenković who covered for João Pedro.
As for shakers and movers 'Subbuteoz' [Simon Godfrey] climbed 20 spots this week. In the not so great department we have 'Tangles Terrorisers' [Dean Stewart] dropping 25 spots.
