Membership Expectations
All OzSpurs members are expected to contribute positively to the club and its community. Membership is a privilege that carries responsibilities to fellow members, volunteers, committee members, chapter organisers, and our partners.
By becoming an OzSpurs member, members agree to:
- Conduct themselves respectfully and responsibly at all OzSpurs events, meetings, social gatherings, online forums, and social media platforms.
- Treat fellow members, volunteers, chapter organisers, committee members, venue staff, and members of the public with courtesy and respect.
- Comply with all OzSpurs policies, procedures, codes of conduct, and directives issued by the Committee.
- Act in a manner that promotes the positive reputation of OzSpurs and Tottenham Hotspur.
- Refrain from behaviour that may be considered abusive, threatening, discriminatory, defamatory, intimidating, harassing, or offensive.
- Follow all venue rules, local laws, and safety requirements when attending OzSpurs functions or events.
- Respect the decisions made by the OzSpurs Committee and authorised representatives acting within their responsibilities.
- Use OzSpurs communication channels appropriately and not engage in conduct that disrupts the club or its members.
Unacceptable Conduct
The following behaviours may result in disciplinary action:
- Harassment, bullying, discrimination, or victimisation of any person.
- Physical violence, threats of violence, or aggressive behaviour.
- Repeated disruptive or inappropriate conduct.
- Bringing OzSpurs into disrepute through actions or public statements.
- Misuse of OzSpurs branding, intellectual property, or club resources.
- Breaches of OzSpurs policies, procedures, or committee directives.
- Providing false or misleading information to the club.
- Conduct that damages relationships with venues, sponsors, partners, Tottenham Hotspur, or other supporter groups.
- Any unlawful activity occurring at or connected to OzSpurs activities.
Disciplinary Action
The OzSpurs Committee reserves the right to investigate any alleged breach of club policies, procedures, or this Code of Conduct.
Following consideration of the circumstances, the Committee may impose one or more of the following actions:
- Verbal or written warning.
- Temporary suspension from OzSpurs activities, events, communication channels, or membership privileges.
- Removal from committee, volunteer, or chapter organiser positions.
- Suspension of membership for a specified period.
- Immediate termination of membership.
- Any other action considered appropriate by the Committee.
Suspension and Termination of Membership
The Committee may suspend or terminate a member’s membership where it reasonably believes the member has:
- Breached any OzSpurs policy, procedure, or code of conduct.
- Engaged in behaviour contrary to the objectives or interests of OzSpurs.
- Acted in a manner likely to damage the reputation, operations, or wellbeing of the club or its members.
Where practical, the member may be given an opportunity to provide information regarding the alleged breach before a final decision is made.
The decision of the Committee regarding suspension or termination of membership shall be final.
Acknowledgement
By applying for, renewing, or maintaining OzSpurs membership, members acknowledge and agree to abide by these rules, expectations, policies, procedures, and any future amendments approved by the OzSpurs Committee.
