Welcome to Australia Spurs,

Season 2024/25 has arrived and I’m sure we are all wondering what to expect from Ange and the boys as we venture back into European competition along with another busy premier league and domestic cup run.

2024 also sees the dawn of a new era with OzSpurs. This is the first year since OzSpurs began that one of the founding members has not been a committee member, a new chapter in the story of the dedicated volunteers committed to the same cause as those who have served since the very beginning.

The end of last season saw both Paf and Woody step down after many years in various roles, on behalf of everyone associated with OzSpurs, a massive thank you to you both for your many years of service and dedication.

My first official duties as president saw me welcome our beloved Spurs to Melbourne for what can only be described as a whirlwind visit, I believe the team was only in Oz for around 42 hours, but in that time, we were lucky enough to see Ange put the boys through an open training session, and of course the match against the magpies with those penalties that seemed to catch both coaches off guard!

The visit also highlighted the benefits of being an OzSpurs member, access to ex-player night such as our afternoon at the imperial with Gary Mabbutt, exclusive events, and competitions to win prizes that money can’t buy, but more importantly, the friendships we make with like-minded individuals at 2.00am on a Sunday morning at our local chapter.

It’s those membership fees that help us continue to work to bring you experiences like this, and whilst we had a slight increase in the membership packs to offset cost increases, our digital membership remains great value for those who just want to be part of that number.

Planning is also underway for next year's National, which will see us return to Sydney after several years away. If you have never experienced a National, I recommend you start your planning, our last National saw us take over Cairns for the weekend, and what a weekend it was!

For those of you planning on heading overseas, please ensure all your information such as one Hotspur and CRN are all up to date. This assists us when making ticket applications on your behalf.
