Victorian Footgolf Challenge
We have been invited to join the Victorian Footgolf Challenge at Northcote Golf Club on Friday the 2nd of April (Good Friday). It's bound to be a good day out and spots are limited, so don't miss out on your spot!
What is footgolf? Pretty much what you might expect! It's a cross between football and golf. Instead of a club, you use your foot. And instead of a golf ball, a football!
A number of supporters clubs have been invited to participate, with teams made up of 4 players. Each club will play 6 matches against other clubs, which will be randomly drawn. A match is made up of 9 holes and the lowest score on each hole scores a goal.
Are you with me?

There will be three different formats used on the day.
Round 1: Scramble
All players drive from the tee. Teams may then select either ball to play next and both players shoot their second shot from that position. This continues until the hole is completed. Lowest score per hole scores the goal. Ties score no goals.
Round 2: Alternate Shots
Teams take it in turns to shoot a single ball throughout the round. Lowest score per hole scores the goal. Ties score no goals.
Round 3: Matchplay
Each player plays their own ball. Lowest individual score on each hole scores the goal. Ties score no goals.
After the completion of the 6 matches, a final league table will be produced to crown the Victorian Footgolf Teams Challenge Champions. In the event of a tie, goal difference will be used as the tie breaker. If goal difference is again equal, then a Super Hole will be played under Fourball rules, between pairs of nominated players. If a tie results then the Super Hole is repeated using the remaining pairs, until a winner is determined.
