The story so far!
Hopefully, by now most of you should have received your 2024/25 membership pack. As always we try to find some different and unique items to go into these, and this year was no different. Most of the older members struggled with working out what a “pop socket” is for, to the first Yellow OzSpurs members card. our retro design sticker which saw us work with a local Melbourne artist is hopefully the start of some exciting ideas for merchandise going forward.
Our new dropshipping store has allowed us to offer a wider range of both stock and custom items to members, and for those of you who have purchased, I think we can all agree that the quality is excellent for the price.
Our chapters have seen decent numbers for the first few games, and despite results, we hope to see this continue. Thank you to our CO’s for their continued efforts in ensuring we all have a place to come together to watch games in the early hours.
in regards to committee news, Kimberley Santos has stepped down from her role as communications/social media, on behalf of us all I would like to thank her for her efforts.
In the interim, I would like to welcome Ian Shearer to the committee, he will step in to assist with this role until the next election.
Planning is underway for this year’s National. The dates (as highlighted on this year’s calendar fridge magnet) will see OzSpurs descending on Sydney for what looks to be a big weekend of fun, football, and most importantly Friendship. If you have never experienced a National, I strongly encourage you to attend, regardless of the season, it’s a weekend like no other, a highlight of the year and not to be missed. Stay tuned for updates as we continue to plan for this event.
We are currently considering a potential creative project, so we are keen to know if any members happen to be digital content creators, filmmakers, videographers, social media/marketing/PR specialists or creative project producers/directors.
These skills may be very useful for the potential project and we would be keen to speak with anyone among our members who has these skills.
If this sounds like something you can help us with, please get in touch with our President, Sean Bielski,
