Presidents Update
After such a successful and hectic Perth National, all of us on the OzSpurs committee are looking forward to a relatively relaxed time at the National in Cairns. Behind the scenes we’ve been working on events and securing accommodation deals to ensure that we all have the absolute best time in a slice of Paradise. However, it wouldn't really be a Tottenham event without potential spanners making their way into well oiled works and so we find ourselves addressing rumours of a potential post season visit to Melbourne.
It is important to know that the club have not yet agreed to anything, but a post season visit to Melbourne is one of the proposals being considered, so enter the spanner. Given that our National in Cairns is planned for the last weekend of the season and that the visit is proposed for the following week, we have debated long and hard about the merits of staging or cancelling the National should the visit go ahead. It has become increasingly apparent that many of our members, and if we're honest all of the committee members would like Cairns to go ahead, So we will work with Spurs to ensure that, should the proposed visit become a reality that both Cairns and Melbourne benefit from our relationship with the football club.
The Official Supporters Club team understand the work that our committee and chapter organisers put into an event like the National and we will work with them to create special events for our members in Cairns, regardless of whether or not THFC chose to once again to turn up when we weren't expecting them.
