Nominations now open for Australia Spurs President

At the AGM which took place in Perth as part of the National it was agreed that committee members would now hold their position for two years (seasons) and that members could only hold one specific role for a maximum of two terms. (Four years total).

Current President Paul Fellowes has decided that he will stand down from the role at the end of the current season. As we expect there to be considerable interest in the role the committee have decided to open nominations for this position to allow time for and election (if required) and handover to ensure a smooth transition.

We are now seeking nominations for the position of President. Nominations have opened today (16th January) and will close (16th February). If required, an election will take place from 23rd February to 8th March.

It goes without saying the position of President is a important role for Australia Spurs, and so we are looking for candidates that have experience of OzSpurs and the way that we operate as well as detailed understanding of our individual chapters and our relationship with the Club. This is a role that requires a significant time commitment.

In order to stand for the position, you will be required to provide details of two current members who are happy to nominate you for the position and are happy to be contacted by the committee to verify your details and experience.
