Are Tottenham puts Spurs supporters at
the centre of the tale of a dramatic season
at White Hart Lane, one in which fans'
hero Glenn Hoddle was axed after only six
games, and the club faced a fight for its
reputation. In doing so, the book exposes
the myth of the 'average football fan',
providing a compelling account of the joy,
frustration and absurdity of following
a Premiership club.
"Great stuff, I recommend it although having to
re-live the account of last seasons shiteness was a
bit unpleasant."
Mullet
"...book
of the year. Its a deal its a f**in steal"

This
fully illustrated large format publication
is a comprehensive encyclopaedia of the
famous North London club.
" Comprehensive listing of all players, teams
we've played against, rivalries, cup wins, league wins,
great managers and the history of the club.
Everything you'll ever need to know.
4 out of 5, simply based on the fact
that its very 'text oriented' ie not
a whole lot of pictures of players,
grounds, etc. But still very good."

From
a privileged viewpoint, this book follows
Tottenham through the 1995-6 season. The
unfolding drama as Tottenham seeks to re-establish
itself as one of the winning teams in English
football is examined against a background
of revolutionary changes in the way the
game is played and organised.
" Thought it was pretty good, 4/5. As the following
synopsis suggests, it followed THFC threw a season,
but used individual incidents to comment on the history
of the club and the state of football at the time (which
was very much changing). "

A
biography of footballer Danny Blanchflower.
Born in Belfast and educated at St. Andrews,
Blanchflower began his career at Barnsley
in 1949, soon finding himself at odds with
the management, gaining an image as a rebel.
" Brilliant book about one of our greatest ever
players."
Klinsmann

In
1961 Tottenham Hotspur embarked on a European
adventure that would take them across Europe
to some of the great stadiums and cities
of the footballing world. Soon teams like
Bayern Munich, Barcelona and Real Madrid
were to become foes in London. They produced
the glory nights for Tottenham, who were
destined to become one of England's most
famed teams in European competition.
" History of Spurs in European Football, with
brilliant photos, news clippings, match reports from
the time. Anyone EVER disputes with you that we're
one of the four biggest clubs in English football tell
them to read this. There's also a 3 hour video by the
same name with some superb interviews wtih Sir Bill.
And if yer know yer history......... "

London
is home to some of British football's most
notorious hooligans. This book explains
how these groups have gained and maintained
their reputations, why hooligans see a
trip to London as a challenge, and how
the system of public transport opens up
opportunities for those who wish to fight.
" All about real agro, real punch ups involving
London clubs, written by self confessed hooligan, Dougie
Brimson. Regular references to Spurs and how we still
have one of the best and hardest firms going around.
This is not talk, this is the real McCoy and if any
of you have ever been involved, you'll enjoy this read.
It pulls no punches. Ha. "

by
Hunter Davies.
" Excellent. 5/5. Hunter spent an entire season
with the Spurs team and fans, 72/73 season which ended
with the Spurs beating Wolves to win the UEFA Cup.
The chapter following the spurs 'firm' of the day
is a right laugh. I think he called it the skinhead
special.Coventry away was the game and he describes
a few well dodgy fellow."
